Is Ipsos i-Say legit? What we checked, and what it pays

Ipsos i-Say is a real, operating consumer survey panel. We last checked its published terms and payout rules on 2026-08-07, against the provider's own documentation. What is worth knowing before you join is not whether it exists, but what it actually pays: $3.50 – $6.50 on the published figures, with a $5.00 (500 points) cash-out floor.
"Legit" gets used for two different questions. The first is whether the company is real and pays people at all. The second is whether joining is worth your time. This page answers both, and they have different answers.
We do not operate accounts on the panels we write about, so nothing here is a personal earnings claim. Everything below is taken from Ipsos i-Say's published documentation and terms, with the date we last opened them shown at the bottom of the page.

The complaints that are fair
- Point-to-dollar conversion varies by reward, so read the redemption page carefully.
- Longer studies occasionally pay less per minute than short ones.
- Email invite volume is high and hard to tune down.
- Some rewards are region-locked.
How Ipsos i-Say compares on the things people complain about
Cash-out floor and payout speed are the two figures behind most "scam" accusations in this category. A panel that makes you reach $50 before paying feels like a scam long before it is one.
| Panel | Cash-out floor | Reported payout speed |
|---|---|---|
| Ipsos i-Say | $5.00 (500 points) | 24 – 72 hours |
| Survey Junkie | $5.00 (500 points) | PayPal usually under 24h |
| Swagbucks | $3.00 (300 SB) PayPal / gift card | Gift cards 0 – 24h, PayPal 1 – 10 days |
| Prolific | £5 / $6 equivalent | Instant to 3 business days after approval |
| Branded Surveys | $5.00 (500 points) | 1 – 3 business days |
| Pinecone Research | $3.00 — one survey | 3 – 5 business days |
Worth knowing
Eligibility beyond the countries named above is decided at signup, so treat the list as the floor rather than the limit.
