What Swagbucks actually pays
The currency is SB, and 100 SB equals $1. Survey offers in the dashboard are quoted in SB, which is the single biggest source of confusion for new users: a survey advertised as '150 SB' is a $1.50 survey, not a $150 one.
Short profile surveys pay 35 – 60 SB for 5 – 8 minutes. Mid-length consumer studies pay 80 – 150 SB for 12 – 20 minutes. Anything above 250 SB is normally a diary study, a product test with a return step, or a router survey that will screen most people out.
The daily-goal bonus is the part most reviews miss. Hit your goal every day for a week and the published streak bonuses add a small percentage on top of everything you earned. It will not change what the platform is worth, but it is free once you are already answering surveys.
Cash-out: the honest timings
The $3 minimum is real and it is the lowest of the panels we track. Swagbucks says most gift-card redemptions are processed quickly, and its terms allow a one-off review of a first redemption on a new account, so plan for the first one to be slower than the rest.

You can cut screen-outs by completing every profile section before starting. Household income, employment sector and shopping frequency are the blocks most often used for targeting, so they are the ones to fill in first.
Avoid the router surveys labeled with a very high SB value and a vague description. They chain you through several qualifiers and disqualify most people after five or more minutes of answering.
Account safety and holds
Swagbucks' terms restrict VPNs, shared IPs and multiple accounts in one household. If two people in the same house both want an account, register them on separate devices, use separate email addresses, and never redeem to the same PayPal account.
