How we review survey sites
SurveyQueen reviews third-party survey providers and publishes comparison guides. We do not operate survey panels, decide who is accepted, issue surveys or pay rewards.
Methodology page updated October 12, 2026. Source-check dates are listed separately below.
Our review process
Identify the provider
Check the operator’s legal identity, contact information, official website, terms and privacy policy. Separate the provider from any referral network or intermediary.
Check eligibility and participation rules
Read the published country and age requirements, account-verification rules and restrictions. A match is not an acceptance decision: each provider decides who can join and qualify for a survey.
Document rewards and cash-out
Record the stated reward or point value, redemption minimum, available payment methods, fees, expiry rules and published processing times. Distinguish advertised rewards, credited rewards and rewards actually received.
Assess the evidence
Use official terms, help pages and reward catalogues for factual claims. Complaints on BBB, Trustpilot and Reddit can identify issues to investigate, but individual reports are not proof of a typical outcome or a measured non-payment rate.
Explain limitations and assign a review level
Identify what is provider-reported, researched or backed by a retained first-hand record. Publish a rating only with a full review; a quick check is not a full review, and an unreviewed partner offer has no rating.
Publish sources and maintain the review
Show source links and their recorded check dates so readers can verify claims. When information changes, re-check the affected claims; note material corrections rather than silently replacing the figures. A check date is not a guarantee that the provider has made no changes since.
What the review labels mean
- Rated by SurveyQueen
- A full SurveyQueen review with a published rating. “Rated” means reviewed, not automatically tested first-hand.
- Checked by SurveyQueen — quick check, not a full review
- All seven quick-check items below must be recorded. No numeric rating is shown.
- Partner offer — not yet reviewed by SurveyQueen
- An offer without a completed SurveyQueen review. No rating is shown; it may appear in a labelled “You might also like” section, never as the top match or Up next.
- Affiliated — operated by the same company as SurveyQueen
- Ownership is disclosed on the offer. Same-owner offers are never rated and never the top match or Up next.
The quick-check checklist
- Real company: legal name and contact address found
- Terms of use and privacy policy published
- Free to join, with no payment or card required
- Accepts US adults 18+
- Cash-out minimum recorded
- Payment methods recorded
- Complaint check done (BBB, Trustpilot, Reddit) with notes; no pattern of non-payment or scam reports
How ratings are assessed
Our published weighting framework has five criteria. It relies on documented information, not predicted affiliate revenue. Weights last updated 2026-09-13. A rating is an editorial assessment, not a promise of acceptance or payment.
- Effective reward rate30%
- An estimate based on provider-published rewards and stated durations.
- Redemption threshold and reward methods20%
- How much you must accrue before cashing out, and in what forms.
- Payout processing20%
- Time from redemption request to the reward arriving, as published by the provider.
- Account reliability and usability20%
- Unexplained restrictions, verification clarity, support availability, treatment of pending rewards, and overall usability.
- Transparency of published terms10%
- Whether rewards, thresholds, payout methods and screen-out treatment are documented plainly enough to be checked.
Survey availability and Screen-out frequency carry no weight: provider documentation does not establish either rate, and we do not hold the logged sessions needed to measure them for most panels. Ratings do not determine funnel ranking, partner pixels, postbacks or payouts.
Benchmark figures and their sources
The homepage previously displayed “$0.40–$3.00” per completed survey and “8–20 minutes” as typical ranges. We have replaced those figures with provider-dependent wording because the official sources do not substantiate those exact combined ranges. They were not a measured average, a representative sample or results from SurveyQueen accounts.
The official provider pages below are the sources used to check reward rules, point redemption and participation terms. They do not, by themselves, substantiate those exact combined ranges across all providers. We do not claim that each source publishes those endpoints or that they predict your rewards.
Rewards and duration vary by survey, provider, country and participant. An advertised survey reward excludes unpaid screening, unsuccessful attempts and time spent waiting for invitations; points may not be redeemable until a minimum balance is reached. A quoted completion time is not an independently timed result.
These public sources were checked on October 12, 2026. This was a documentation check, not a logged-in survey or cash-out test. Where a number cannot be tied to a dated source or retained record, it should not be treated as a verified benchmark.
Sources and verification
Based on official provider information. The figures on this page come from the provider's own published documentation and terms, which can change without notice.
- Survey rewards and estimated completion time — Swagbucks
Supports: Reward amounts and estimated times are shown for individual surveys, not a verified cross-provider average. Source checked 2026-10-12.
- Earning points — FAQ — Ipsos iSay
Supports: Survey-specific points and how members earn rewards; not the former combined dollar or minute ranges. Source checked 2026-10-12.
- Member information and rewards — Branded Surveys
Supports: Points-to-reward conversion and redemption information, not a typical reward per completed survey. Source checked 2026-10-12.
Provider-published information is identified as such and can change at any time. No first-hand test result is claimed on this page. Nothing here is tax, legal or financial advice.
When we can say “tested first-hand”
No first-hand test result is claimed on this page. Most provider reviews are based on published documentation, not accounts we operated. “Tested first-hand” is reserved for a review backed by retained records for its stated account, country and test period.
Those records must cover invitations and attempts, completions and screen-outs, time spent, rewards credited, redemption thresholds, cash-out requests and payments received. Without them, provider claims remain provider-reported. Even a documented test describes one account and period, not what another visitor will earn.
Commercial relationships and corrections
Some links are paid referral links. SurveyQueen may receive a commission when someone joins through them. That relationship does not determine our editorial rating or conclusion. Matching is separate from editorial scoring: eligibility and fit come first, and approved-revenue performance may influence the order of eligible offers.
Read our advertising disclosure and editorial policy. Report an outdated source or an error through our contact page; material corrections belong in our corrections record.
